In addition, The International Service Centre at the service point in Kastelli (Wetterhoffinkatu 2) provides guidance in various languages on weekdays.
Ecosystem work
Hämeenlinna’s ecosystem work helps connect businesses, research institutes, students and communities. The City of Hämeenlinna has chosen five ecosystems that will be used to further develop these efforts.
In addition to Hämeenlinna’s entrepreneurial associations and organisations, the city’s development company, Linnan Kehitys Oy, is working to secure the growth of the businesses in the city.
The PARKKI Business Park helps connects the businesses in Hämeenlinna and is located at Raatihuoneenkatu 21-23. The Business Park brings together the services, advice, trainings, events and networking opportunities that are available to businesses and future entrepreneurs.

The employment team of the City of Hämeenlinna provides support to those who have been on more than 300 days of labour market support as well as to those under 30 and on labour market support when a person is involved in the city’s support services and wishes to find their place in working life. This is achieved with the help of personalised and group coaching.
The One-Stop Guidance Center helps young people under the age of 29 with matters related to employment, training and education.
Different industries represented
A number of different industries are represented in Hämeenlinna. Aside from the wood processing and graphic industries, there is food processing, packaging and textile processing industries.
The knowledge of metal processing is world-class and some of the professionals in the field produce gorgeous gold jewellery. Tourism and other service-related business areas employ a large amount of people.
The most important companies in town are SSAB, Huhtamäki, Patria Vehicles, Konecranes and Kultakeskus. The most internationally recognized company in Hämeenlinna is Iittala. Iittala is a part of the Fiskars Group which is a leading manufacturer of modern, Scandinavian products for the home and a pioneer in design.
